The 7 Must have Videos for Business (updated 2021)
During hard times staying on top of your marketing is so so important because every lead becomes that much more valuable. So you want to make sure that you are spending the money to allow your business to be SEEN and HEARD.
This blog post will be looking looking at some of the different types of videos you can approach us to produce with your grant funds.
1) The Explainer or Demo Video
The Explainer or Demo Video is video which, as the name suggests, either explains your product or service and/or demonstrates how it works. So if it is a vacuum you might have a video showing the vacuum effectively cleaning up a mess. You may also talk about some of the features that make your vacuum better than others available on the market.
If you have a service, it might be a video that communicates how you operate with and for your clients to get the best results.
Explainer videos are popular as well. Studies show that 95% of people have watched an explainer video to learn more about a product or service. And 84% of consumers in another study were convinced to buy a product or service after watching a brand’s video.
Why? You are more likely to trust what you can see and experience, and an explainer or demo video creates the opportunity for this trust to develop.
Explainer and Demo videos can be shared on social media, shared with leads via email, and should be displayed prominently on your website.
2) Social Media Promotional Videos
Another type of video I absolutely recommend at the moment are social promo videos. Social promo videos are short and sharp, usually no more than 60 seconds but often between 15-30 seconds.
People generally have short attention spans, so the purpose of these videos is to grab a buyer’s attention and get them to engage in your product, service or brand and not keep scrolling. Once engaged, social vids can be used to engage and build relationships with your followers and database, share information, and just generally keep your brand in your followers’ minds. And if they like what they see, they are likely to share your videos with your family and friends.

3) Testimonial Videos
Word of mouth is a powerful force, and testimonial videos are one of the most powerful forms of content you can have for your business. Buyers say that 90% of their decisions are influenced by online reviews. And 79% of people say that they tend to trust online reviews just as much as word of mouth from friends and family.
The problem with text based reviews are that they are far too easy to fake. Someone could literally type up 100 5 star reviews from fake people and put them on their website and you may not even know.
With video testimonials on the other hand viewers can see and hear your happy customer talk about their personal experience with your brand. They can see your client’s excitement and emotion and this helps viewers trust you and what you have to offer.
Video testimonials are super shareable as well. You can put on your socials, on your website, and you can send them out to prospective clients. A definite must have for your video marketing strategy.

4) Company Profile Videos
The next type of video is the Company Profile Video. A Profile video shows viewers who you are as a company, what your values are, and what kind of culture you foster.
These videos communicate what you do and why you do it, and can be great at building how people see your brand.
A strong brand can mean that you are ‘front of mind’ for potential and repeat clients, and that opportunities are more likely to come to you, rather than you having to actively seek them out.
A good place to put a Profile Video would be in your ‘About Us’ Page or on your Home Page of your website.

5) Educational Videos & Informational Videos
Educational and informative videos, like the one I’m doing now, helps you get your knowledge out into the world! If you are anything like us then you have heaps of specialised knowledge about your industry that you are just bursting to share. People want to learn about things that interest them. Sharing what you know with your database shows them that you know what you are talking about when it comes to your field. Try offering solutions to problems that you know your clients may be experiencing. Or, teach your clients about some of the key points of different and benefits of your product or service that they may not be aware of.
These videos again can go on social, your website, email marketing and are just high value content to have for your business.
6) Training Videos
Looking internally now at your business, training videos offers a way to systemise policies and procedures and dramatically cut time spent training and retraining staff.
No matter where your staff are located, they can have access to training materials. With training videos you know that all staff are getting the same information delivered in the same way, so there is less chance that key information may be overlooked or forgotten during the training process. Furthermore, if a staff member feels they need to revisit part of their training, they can simply re-watch the video.
Training videos are one of those things that may seem like a big investment initially but will result in huge time cost savings down the track for your business. If having strong training and development resources is important to you and your business, I’d suggest looking down this avenue.

7) Website Banner Videos
Last but not least is the website video banner! Video banners for your website are powerful tools to engage viewers from the moment they click on your page. Within seconds prospective buyers are seeing shots that communicate either what your product is or what it is your company represents.
