Case Study: Meals on Wheels TRAINING VIDEO SERIES
Elite Media were engaged by Meals on Wheels to create a training video program for new volunteers in the kitchen. The intention of this program was to provide material that was more engaging than the current written training booklet. The induction videos would also provide a visual way for volunteers to access the learning materials and help them see first hand potential hazards in the kitchen.
It was important to Meals on Wheels that the presenter was also experienced with working in a kitchen environment to ensure that all procedures were followed correctly. They also were working within a fairly limited budget.
Elite Media sought out and engaged a professional chef for the video series. We also took the material that MOW had on hand and translated it for video into the final script. The quiz was developed by our pre-production team and shared with MOW for review.
Filming took place over two days in the Meals on Wheels kitchens.
In the end Meals on Wheels received a series of engaging training / induction videos for their new volunteers and were extremely happy with the results.
Case Study: MANGO HILL STATE SCHOOL SAFE PICKUP/DROP OFF INDUCTION VIDEO sERIES
Elite Media were engaged by Mango Hill State School to create a Road Safety Program for their school community. Two versions of the content were produced by our team – one specifically targeting school students, and the other directed toward parents. The intention of the video series was to ensure all students arrive and leave school in a safe and efficient manner.
After sharing the material with Elite Media, our team developed the concept of having a student present the road safety information and presented the proposed visual look and feel to the Mango Hill team, who loved the idea. We then engaged in a talent search to find a suitable child actor for the speaking role. All other students and teachers were current members of the school community.
Filming took place over 3 days. Elite Media effectively managed the production schedule around recess, lunch breaks and teacher schedules to ensure that the days all ran smoothly and no audio was effected.
The results speak for themselves! The Mango Hill team were thrilled with the induction videos and they have been viewed by members of the school community 1000s of times.
